Creative process
My background in fashion design, textiles and homeware have collectively influenced my creative practise. The way I design is constantly evolving.
influences & Inspiration
I study old archives & catalogues for old chintz techniques that have largely died out. I try to emulate them, in my own style, using very modern tools.
Laura Ashley & William Morris are hugely influential on my work, both entrepreneurially and aesthetically. I visit old houses and antique fairs, filling my creative tank.
sketching & painting
I mostly paint and design digitally, using my iPad. Moving into digital art has completely transformed the way in which I work.
designinG
All my products are designed and drawn from beginning to end by me.
Shells, flowers, ribbons and plants motifs frequently appear in my designs, in the tradition of chintz. Pulling a stylised nature into the home.
to the factory
I care deeply about the manufacturers who craft my products beautifully & understand my vision. Every element, from print colour to embroidery thread is painstakingly hand picked.
