Jen Kenwood's Grandparents set up Warner & Sons, the heritage textile house of chintz dreams. Now under new ownership, but still very much at the core of her family, Jen asked me to design two chintz patterns for her new nightwear brand Goodnight Creatures. All the way back in January!

The complex chintzes of yesteryear, took designers weeks to paint and execute, and in a commercial sense are no longer viable in today's market. You rarely see new chintz designs, they are usually recreated from vintage or antique fragments.

I use my own modern techniques which respect the craft & tradition, to make new modern chintz prints for today.

I return to shell motifs frequently, so I was thrilled when Jen suggested a scallop print for her second pattern.
